Many local organizations provide additional homeless support services, such as food, clothing, and other assistance. Click on the headings below to view community resources for each category. Hours and services listed may be subject to change or modified due to COVID-19. Please contact organizations directly to confirm or for more information.

Judeo-Christian Outreach Center (JCOC)

  • Community dinner: JCOC’s Dining Hall is closed to prepare for a campus rebuild. Locations and hours are as follows:
    • Monday-Friday, 5-6 p.m. (to-go only): Mount Olive Baptist Church, 310 N. Birdneck Road (JCOC will be on the left side)
    • Saturday, 2:30-3:30 p.m. (to-go only): First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, 2744 Robert Jackson Drive (in the building on the left)
    • JCOC community dinner will no longer be served on Sunday (PiN Ministry serves dinner on Sundays, 12:30-2:30 p.m., at Mount Olive Baptist Church).
  • Food pantry: Tuesday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon (by appointment only), First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, 2744 Robert Jackson Drive (in the building on the left.).
    • To schedule your food pantry appointment, call JCOC at (757) 491-2846, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon or 1-5 p.m. Arrive at the church during your scheduled food pantry appointment time. If you arrive early, you will be asked to return at your scheduled time.
    • For 10 a.m. appointments, please do not arrive at the church earlier than 9:45 a.m. Pantry guests will wait in line outside the building in order of arrival. One at a time, guests will enter the building to check in.
    • A volunteer will follow you outside with a cart of pre-packed food. They will assist you with loading your vehicle or personal bags if needed. Guests may not go through the food prior to loading. Guests may refuse unopened bags of food if they are not able to take it all.
